St. George's University has a number of visiting scholars, educators, graduates, researchers and medical science professionals who each year enrich our academic program with dynamic and inspiring lectures. Many others also apply their education and training to serve the Grenadian community as well as enhance the knowledge and welfare of the global community.

Richard H. Schwarz, MD, SGUSOM’s Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) on October 28th.
Kara Tassone: SGU Veterinary Student Elected SAVMA President
On October 26th, SGU’s Kara Tassone, received recognition for her election as the upcoming President of the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA).

Dr. Joseph Feldman, a graduate of the St. George’s University School of Medicine (’89), was involved with the initial use of Radio Frequency Implantable Devices (RFID) in human patients in hospitals.
