Viewing Mediasite Presentations on Windows

If the Mediasite controller does not appear or your are having issues with your sound or video the codec or Active X plug-in may not be installed.

Internet Explorer

These Mediasite controls will only work in Internet Explorer.

A codec is a device or program that encodes or decodes a digital data stream or signal.  Codecs can be downloaded from the internet (ie. The K-Lite codec pack).

If you have problems installing the Active X plug-in set the Internet Explorer Internet Security to default by performing the following steps:

  • Tools > Internet Options
  • Go to the Security Tab
  • Reset all Zones to their Default levels

Safari and Firefox

Safari and Firefox do not support Active X plug-ins. The following special features may not be available:

  • Full Screen
  • Fast or Slow Play
  • Mute
