St. George’s University School of Medicine pioneered the concept of international medical education and stays at the forefront of medical education as the world becomes smaller. St. George’s University was the first private medical school in the Caribbean, the first to be accredited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Health Professions (CAAM-HP), and the leader in the first time scores on the United States Licensing Examinations.
In its 33 years of academic achievement, St. George’s University School of Medicine has contributed nearly 11,000 physicians who are licensed in all 50 states and Canada and have practiced in over 45 countries of the world. The School of Medicine’s faculty hails from over 30 countries. There are almost 300 Basic Sciences faculty at the True Blue campus in Grenada, and over 600 clinical faculty at the School of Medicine’s over 50 affiliated hospitals and clinical centers in the United States and the United Kingdom. The international faculty and staff of the Department of Educational Services are dedicated to student and graduate success.
The majority of St. George’s University School of Medicine students have come from the top 100 US schools, with over 500 students from Ivy League schools in the United States, and nearly 7,000 graduated from universities in the US News and World Reports list of Top National Universities 2010.
