Dr. Lanza-Perea received a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons ( MRCVS) in 1997. She earned a BVM from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), Spain, in 1994.

Dr. Lanza-Perea began her teaching career at St. George’s University (SGU), School of Veterinary Medicine, Grenada, in 2004, and is currently the Course Director for Clinical Skills III (Surgery Lab, 5th term). In 2005, she was awarded the VTH Clinical Teaching award, SGU.

Prior work experience includes 3 years as a permanent vet in practice and 4 years as a locum Veterinarian (relief work) in various veterinary surgical practices around the southern part of England, allowing her to travel extensively throughout the region during the years 1999 to 2002.

Dr. Lanza-Perea is fluent in English and Spanish.
