All entering St. George’s students in all academic programs begin their studies on the stunning True Blue Campus, which is a University city that rises atop a peninsula in the southwest corner of Grenada. A major building campaign begun in the early 1990s resulted in 52 new buildings spread out over 42 acres in a vibrant seaside location on this lovely tropical island in the West Indies.
The campus is a beautiful combination of Georgian architecture visually enhanced with vivid Caribbean colors.
Students in the Doctor of Medicine program spend the final two years of their medical education at St. George’s in affiliated hospitals in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Michigan, Connecticut, California, Florida, and the United Kingdom. There are SGUSOM directors, faculty and instructors at all of these locations.
A new partnership with the Northumbria University in Newcastle, United Kingdom will allow SOM students to complete the first year of basic sciences on the urban Northumbria University campus. Students accepted into the Keith B. Taylor Global Scholars Program will be matriculated at both St. George’s University and Northumbria University.
Veterinary students complete the final, fourth year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at affiliated veterinary schools in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and the Republic of Ireland.
