The Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in the School of Medicine of St. George’s University is seeking to recruit ‘two’ Instructor level Faculty for the Graduate public health program in the department of Public Health & Preventive Medicine.
The successful candidate must possess a doctoral degree (Ph.D, DrPH) in public health or a related field in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Administration, or Health Education. Successful candidates will demonstrate a capacity in research and scholarly activities. Preferably, candidates will have experience in community based collaborative research. Successful faculty will lead and participate in research activities, teach relevant courses in Graduate Public Health (PH) program, and involve in regional and international public health initiatives.
The mission of the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in the School of Medicine at St. George's University is to improve the health, quality of life and well-being of populations, communities and persons through education, research and service in public health and preventive medicine. The Department offers three programs leading to the Master of Public Health degree: A free-standing MPH degree program, an MD-MPH dual degree program, and a DVM-MPH dual degree program. The PH program is currently under review by the Council on Education for Public Health accreditation.
The successful candidate would join a multi-disciplinary faculty that is engaged in public health graduate education, utilizing classroom lectures, small group instruction, and student mentoring and advisement.
