Assistant Professor, Health Policy & Administration, Department of Public Health & Preventive Medicine, SOM

The Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine seeks a candidate with expertise in Health Policy and Administration for a full-time faculty position. Applicants are sought with expertise in the areas related to Health Systems, Health Strategies, Evaluation of Public Health Measures and Policies.
 
Applicants must have a doctoral degree with advanced training in Health Policy and Administration. S/he should have a productive record of research publications and demonstrated ability to secure external research funding and managing major research studies. Primary responsibilities for the position includes coordinating education activities in teaching graduate courses, conducting independent research and providing professional and community service. The Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is nationally and regionally recognized for its community-based research and services activities. The successful candidate will find opportunities for collaboration in a productive scholarly environment across many disciplines and community partners.
 
The Department administers the Master of Public Health (MPH) program as well as the Community Preventive Medicine curriculum for the medical school. The MPH program also collaborates with the School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Nursing. The University is located in the English-speaking, island state of Grenada, a pristine and beautiful Caribbean country. Salary and rank will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
