eTrust Self Service - Change your Network Password (with the exception of Banner PIN)

To change your passwords please go to http://etrust.sgu.edu.
The eTrust Identity and Access Management Self Service page will appear. 
Enter your User Name and Password again and then click on Log In.

The first time you access the eTrust Identity and Access Management Self Service site, the following error message will appear:

  • Error: There are insufficient question/answer pairs to support self-authentication.
  • Then:
  • Enter a new password in the Password and Confirm Password fields.
  • You must complete the Self Authentication Questions section.  In case you forget your password, this will allow you to reset your password.
  • When all fields are entered, click on Save.

Unlocking Accounts

Your network (AD) and eTrust account automatically get locked after three unsuccessful log in attempts. If you did not submit the answers to the Self Authentication Questions, you will not be able to unlock your accounts! Follow these steps to unlock your account:

  • Go to http://etrust.sgu.edu.
  • Enter your User Name and click on “Unlock” option. The following page will display:

The system will present you with 3 randomly-selected challenge questions from the 5 that you set up previously.

  • Answer all three questions displayed on the page.
  • Click on  the “Propagate unlock to all accounts” check box and click on the “Unlock” button to unlock  your ETrust account and the associated network (AD) account.

Forgot your password?

Again, only students who previously submitted the answers to the Self Authentication Questions can reset their password. Follow these steps to reset your password:

  • Go to http://etrust.sgu.edu.
  • Enter your user name and click on “Forgot your password” option. The following page will display:

The system will present you with 3 randomly selected challenge questions from the pool of 5 that you set up previously.

  • Answer all three questions displayed on the page.
  • Click on “Log In” tab  and the following page will display:

  • Enter your new password.
  • Confirm your password.
  • Enter a new password clue.
  • Click on Save to save the new password.
